Welcome to another week of Realm News and, perhaps, one of the biggest weeks Realm News has had in a very long time! As promised, we're finally finished with something we've been working on for quite some time now, and it's ready for its unvieling: a new quest! That's right, everyone: a new, major quest has been added to the game! Currently it is available for paying users, but it's a big step forward as we open new doors for exciting and fun new content for our players!
Be sure to check it out as soon as you can! The quest involves going into a graveyard and taking care of the strange beasts wreaking havoc within... but you have to at least be level four in order to access the quest.
Also, more exciting new additions to the game! That's right, we didn't just spend all this time working on the new quest... we've got new monsters to talk about! These monsters are currently only accessable at lower levels, as we introduce our new users to these vicious creatures and give them an idea of just what they're up against in the exciting world of Realm Defender! If you've got a high level account, be sure to make a new low-level one and check out the new additions! From a Minotaur to a new Purple Evil Eye, there are plenty of new monsters to battle!
Next week, check back in as we continue work on the game and, hopefully, will have more exciting news to let everyone in on! Until then, have a great week!

Wow, it's been awhile, hasn't it? Welcome to another update in Realm News, the first in over a month! Our apologies for the delay, but unfortunately we here at Realm Defender have been incredibly busy as of late working on possibly one of the most major updates the game has had since the introduction of the new town! It's still a work in progress, but it's a work that's almost finished-- in fact, by next week, we expect it to be in the game and on the server!
There's been a lot of hard work put into this one particular update, and we're all very proud of how it's turned out. Be sure to come back next week for when the update's ready to go live, because when it does, you'll not want to miss it! Until then though, again, our apologies for the lack of updates... and we hope you're all ready when the time comes, because we honestly feel this upcoming update will be worth the wait! Until then, have a great week, and we'll see you all again!

Welcome fans to another update in Realm News! For this week, we've mostly been focusing on fixing a few bugs here and there throughout the game, and have been preparing animations for new monsters as well as working on new backgrounds for Meon. Mostly more game development stuff this week, basically, but there is one thing that stands out among all this work: the new sounds! We've updated sounds for the spells, some monsters, and both Kefur and Sefur. The new sounds are a welcome addition to the game, as they help lend to the atmosphere of the game just a little bit more.
That's all for this week, though, as we continue working on improving the game. Hopefully, next week we'll have some cool new additions to the game ready for launch, for everyone to enjoy. Until then though, have a great week, and we'll see you all next time!

It's definitely been awhile since our last update, we all hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a great new year's experience! We've got quite a number of updates for all of you, and we hope you've all had the chance to see them as they were implemented throughout the week!
Starting things off, we should let everyone know that, for our new members, we now have a new level 0 monster for them to face off against. The "Evil Eye" is a fierce monster for any newcomers to face off against, and we hope that our future Realm Defenders will be able to handle it in combat!
Some major bug fixes have been made to old spells and monsters, and what's more, even more new spells have been added to the game! Check out both the lower-level and higher-level spells, as there's new spell additions all-round. What's more, if you check out spells you might already have, you'll notice some of them have also been changed or altered. With exciting new looks for the spells, we hope many more people will enjoy using them in the future!
Coming within the next week or two, we should have the next town available for everyone to play in! The elven village of Llaenrall is a large one, and will be implementing a new feature for larger towns and villages to accomodate that!
Finally, and perhaps our most major update of all: the trainers are in! Kefur and Sefur of Ryr are now ready for battle as they offer their services to future Realm Defenders, teaching them the ways of the battlefield. If you're looking for a Strength or Endurance boost, Kefur is your man. With fierce attacks and fast-hitting strikes, Kefur is a master with the sword! If you're looking to boost up your Intelligence or work on your Dexterity, Sefur will show you all you need to know. His fluid attacks and powerful spells make him a master mage, looking to pass his knowledge on to you!
That's all for this week, everyone, but be sure to check back in next week as Realm News goes back to its old weekly format. Until then, however, we hope everyone has a great week! See you then!

What a week it's been here at Realm Defender, so many HUGE updates for the game have taken place this week! For those of you who haven't noticed yet, be sure to check out the World Map whenever you can: it's up and running now, and the second town in-game has finished being developed! The village of Meon is now playable, so be sure to explore this new location and check out the sights!
More on this week's updates: the log-in system has been revamped, as we're sure many of you have noticed. Not only have a Mind Flayer and Minotaur invaded the screen, but you can now access your character's information by clicking on their head before entering the game as them! This will help you, should you ever forget, remember which characters are your strongest/most often played with.
Finally, there have been several minor tweaks regarding timing during the battle system that have been made, so you should notice the change pretty quickly.
Well, that's it for this week, and what a week it was. Be sure to check back after the new year for more updates, as there's a good possibility we'll have more big news to follow! Until then, on behalf of everyone here at Realm Defender, have a happy holidays!

We've got two major updates this week for the game, folks, and for those of you who've been following the game for awhile now, you know just how significant these updates are! First off, to all new players and those of you looking to begin a new game, we have added in a Tutorial for Level 0 players to help get them started in the game! The tutorial will explain how the town works, the purpose of the information bars, as well as introduce the player to fighting in their first battle.
Up next, we've now added a new GUI interface to the game! What this means, is that when you take your character to battle, you'll notice that the damage dealt from attacks, as well as the notification of misses and other things, has been changed to new notification bubbles. These bubbles look much nicer then the old bars we'd been using, and we're certain you'll see the difference very quickly!
Finally, we'd like to take the time to talk about some upcoming changes to the game that will likely be completed by next week. We're hoping to finally finish re-designing the animations for our lower-level monsters, so that we can get them up-to-date with our current animation style. So, new monster attacks, plus new special effects for the game, will be hopefully getting added on by the end of next week!
That's all for this week, everyone. Until next time, have fun with the game, and have a great week!

Big news over here at Realm Defender! In the past, our illustrators have been working so hard that our animator has been unable to keep up with the workload alone; however, now we have a new animator to work together with him, and together they should be able to catch up with our illustrators in no time!
What does this mean for all of you? Well, with the animators now working to get these new monsters animated, our programmer will be able to place them into the game and get them ready for release. This means more monsters, more cool new effects and animations for the game, and more exciting fun for all of you! Be sure to watch Realm News for updates on when these newly animated monsters will be added in, as we're expecting to have a few done within the next week or two!
For now, however, that's all we have for the week. Be sure to check in next week, as more news rolls in about fresh updates for Realm Defender!

What's more, we now also have a banners page, so that anyone who wishes to support Realm Defender outside of the site, can do so by putting one of our cool new banners up on their Myspace page, their personal website, or anywhere they want to! Be sure to get one for yourself today!
Finally, our animator has been working hard on some new animations for the game, as he samples with and tests out new effects we hope to have implemented in very, very soon! Welcome back, Realm Fans, to another week of Realm News! This past week, all the kinks in the new wizard have been ironed out, and we now have a very fluid design for our spell-casting warriors out there! Check it out when you get the chance, we're sure you'll all love it!
A few bugs and glitches have been found and taken care of in the game-- particularly, one which miscalculated the number of allowed attacks for certain characters. This has all been cleaned up now, so if you were experiencing any difficulties before, you shouldn't be any longer.
Not as much going on this week as there was last week, but that's primarily due to the continued efforts of our illustrators and our animator with the current projects for the game that they're working on. Next week, however, will bring us more updates, more news, and more progress through the game! Until then, have a great week!

There was quite alot of work being done here at Realm Defender, as progress with the game continues to be made in a very big way. First, for all you wizard players out there, check out the new moves you've been given! Our animator has put alot of effort into creating the new attacks and poses for the wizard, and it turned out VERY nicely!
Also, you all may have noticed that on occasion during the game, sounds will play at certain events. This isn't a glitch: we're now beginning testing of the sound files for the game, as we go about adding them in and picking through ones that we want-- or don't want-- in the game. Be on the look out for that, as new sounds should be getting added in fairly often.
Finally, check out the town and town map! New background images for the town-- day, evening and night-- have been added in to give the feeling of a long day of fighting monsters and add to the general look of the town, while also if you check out your map option, you'll notice that a map has finally been added in!
Another week of updates goes by and we are still making excellent progress. Be sure to check in next week, because as per usual, we'll have plenty of new updates waiting for all of you! See you then!

Another week of progress here at Realm Defender makes another week of updates for Realm News, as some important bug updates have been fixed and others are continued to be worked on. We've got new attack animations in for some of the monsters, as well as new monsters illustrated and ready for animation! It's no surprise, as usual our illustrators are really making haste with these monsters!
A new animator is currently in talks with us and is being given an assignment to test his skills. If this works out, it looks like our monster animations will start getting up to speed!
We'll have more updates prepared for next week: with all the progress being made, it shouldn't be a surprise that we'll have plenty prepared for the next edition of Realm News!

Big, big news this week for all you Realm Defender fans! Looks like after weeks of hard work, the castle has finally made it's grande entrance into the game. Of course, it's still under construction, but work is going well on it and we could see some significant improvements over the next few weeks.
Speaking of improvements, new animation for some characters is being worked on over the next few weeks, and should be integrated into the game soon; something we think all of our fans will appreciate when they see them!
Finally, we would like to thank April Fool Romance for coming in this past week and doing some freelance monster illustrations for us. They turned out amazing, and she's even offered to do a few more for us down the line!
Well, that's it for this week. Be sure to check in again next Friday, as Realm Defender continues to grow and advance on a weekly basis!
