How do I become a Realm Supporter?


Any player who wishes to become a Realm Supporter can visit our upgrade page. Becoming a Realm Supporter costs money, but offers great benefits for players who do choose to do so. Players can pay for upgrades to be a Realm Supporter via credit card, PayPal, or mail-in money orders or checks.

If I create a new character after I upgrade, will it be upgraded too?


This particular subject depends solely on the type of upgrade a player purchases. Players who purchase "Booster Packs" will not be able to create new characters that benefit from the upgrades after those upgrades are bought, as these packs are good for only one character. The "Upgrade All" Realm Supporter status actually upgrades the account as a whole, meaning that all characters created by the upgrading player as of the upgrade will get all the benefits of upgrading; however, any characters created AFTER the upgrade will not receive benefits. Basically, only when a player purchases the "Upgrade All" upgrade will any of their new characters be upgraded, but no new characters will receive benefits after the upgrade.

Is being a Realm Supporter a limited time deal?


Not at all. Any player who pays to become a Realm Supporter, pays to stay a Realm Supporter. There are no monthly fees, no hidden charges... it is only a one-time payment from the player.

Will I be able to delete my character, but keep my Supporter Status?


This depends on the type of upgrade the player has purchased. If the player purchases an "Upgrade All" upgrade, then their account itself will be flagged with the Supporter Status; however, if a player deletes their character, they will not keep the benefits of upgrading, but will still be marked as upgraded. So, basically, any upgraded player can delete their characters when they wish, but the characters will not be given the in-game monetary benefits for upgrading again.

What are my payment options?


Realm Defender offers several ways of paying for Supporter Status with us, including purchases made with credit cards, through PayPal, or through mail-in money orders and checks.

I've accidentally made a duplicate payment! What can I do?


To all players stuck in this situation: don't panic. First, contact Digital Bytes, LLC. immediately and let us know of the problem. As soon as a player gets word of the duplicate payment to us, we will work with themto resolve the issue as fast as we can. Keep in mind, however, that any reports of a duplicate payment brought in after 30 days will not be resolved... it is up to the person making the payments to ensure that these mistakes are fixed as soon as possible. However, should a duplicate payment accidentally be made and the person making it contacts us within 30 days of the payment, it is refundable and we can work with the person to get them their money back.

I've paid for my upgrade, but I've yet to receive it! What's taking so long?


Don't worry! In many cases, upgrade benefits are instantaneous and players will get their benefits right away. If a player is in a situation where they haven't gotten their upgrade, they should wait 24 hours to see if the upgrade shows up at some point later in the day, as the process of upgrading could simply be pending. If after 24 hours they still have not received their upgrade, then they should contact Digital Bytes, LLC. to find out what's going on with their upgrade. We will work with our players to get the situation sorted as fast as possible.

I want to pay-by-mail. How long does that usually take?


This all depends on the speed of the postal service delivering the mail. We have seen payments arrive as quickly as a day just the same as we've seen payments arrive after as long as six weeks. We strongly recommend utilizing online payment methods, but if anyone absolutely must pay-by-mail, then they should be warned that it IS a slow-going process and they won't get their Supporter Status right away. We will send a confirmation email to whomever pays by mail when their payment has been received, processed, and their account upgraded.

Is there a refund policy?


Yes; however, after thirty days, any player who has paid for their account upgrades cannot benefit from the refund policy. Also, the instant any player utilizes any of the in-game benefits that come with upgrading their account, they will not be eligible for a refund, as they have already utilized what they've paid for. The refund policy is primarily for those who have upgraded but, before they use the upgrade have changed their mind, or, for those who accidentally paid for the upgrade/made a duplicate payment. Any requested upgrades will be honored provided that they adhere to these terms.
