I've lost my account name/password! How do I get back in?


Players who forget their account names and passwords simply need to e-mail Digital Bytes, LLC. using the e-mail that they registered their account on the game with, and we can e-mail them back their information. Because e-mail registration is optional, however, players need to be sure to remember to put their e-mail in the field if they wish to get the information back to them. Digital Bytes, LLC. will not send anyone information for an account if the account is not registered with the e-mail requesting the information. This is to protect our user's account security. So, in signing up for an account, all players should keep in mind to register their e-mails with the service. Also, for any players planning on upgrading their game, providing your e-mail is required, and therefore cannot be avoided anyway.

I upgraded my account, but never got the new items! What's going on?!


Don't panic. Players with newly upgraded accounts might not get their new items right away. This could be due to a number of reasons, but more then likely it's the simple process of a player's newly registered account taking longer then usual in processing. Players registered should be able to get their new items right away, but if they do not, they should wait 24 hours for the items to appear. If after 24 hours the items do not appear, but their account shows it's been upgraded, they should e-mail Digital Bytes, LLC. and inform them of the problem so it can be fixed immediately.

I want to make a new character, but how?


If a player wishes to make a new character, they simply need to log into their account and press the "Add a Character" button on their screen. If all the character slots are full, the player might need to delete one of their pre-existing characters in order to add a new one. Players should also keep in mind that in the event of a character's deletion, items and money will not be transferred to other characters. Those items and money are unique to that character alone, and so players should be very selective in when they delete their created characters, and which ones they decide to delete in the first place.

Why can't I get in the game?


This question falls under one of two circumstances: the first one being, the game page simply isn't loading at all. If this is the case, it may be a problem with the server, and the game could get back online any time within the hour, later in the day, or in rare instances possibly even later. Typically, these server downtimes are due to us adding new content to the game, so when the game returns, it will be worth the wait for our players. However, the second circumstance is quite different, in that a player can access the game page, but cannot login to their account and are instead redirected to a registration page. This is because all of the free server slots are full at the time, thus not allowing the player to get in. This problem can be solved by registering the game, as registered players get special open slots on the server, promising them full-time access.

How do I change my e-mail or password for my account?


Currently, there is no real option to change the e-mail or password for a player's account, so in the event that a player decides that they want to, they need to make sure that the account they're using has a registered e-mail already set to it. If it does, the player then needs to contact Digital Bytes, LLC. with a request to change the e-mail and password of the account. It is recommended that upon the request, the player provides Digital Bytes with their account name and current password and, in the event that they wish to change the password, the desired new password for the account. Digital Bytes will take care of the request as soon as they get it, and the player will be e-mailed back with a notification of the changes made to their account.

I want to share my account with a friend, is that allowed?


While the sharing of accounts is not recommended due to security issues with the accounts of the players sharing them, it is not expressely forbidden, either. Players take their account security into their own hands, however, when they share any information related to the accessing of their own account, and Digital Bytes, LLC does not take any responsibility for damages done to the account by anyone using the account that is not the account owner. It should also be noted that paying users are strongly advised not to share any of their account information with any outside parties, as this can lead to security risks for their account should the person they share the information with decide to go in and attempt to sabotage the character they paid to upgrade. Digital Bytes, LLC claims no responsibility for damages made to any account, free or paid for, by any person who is not the account holder.

I'm receiving/not receiving your newsletter, why/why not?


For players receiving our newsletter in their e-mail: if you registered your e-mail account with us, you will be signed up to receive our newsletter as well. This can easily be turned off if the player does not wish to receive the mail by sending an e-mail back to us requesting to be taken off the newsletter list.
For players not receiving our newsletter in their e-mail: players who have not registered their e-mail account with us will of course not receive our newsletter either. Because a free account doesn't require an e-mail to create it, free users who never supplied an e-mail address will unfortunately have no way of registering their e-mail with the account unless they upgrade, and thus will be unable to receive the newsletter. Should a player desire to receive it, they can e-mail Digital Bytes and request to be put on the list of people who are sent the newsletter.

How do I delete my account? What if I just want to reset a character?


Currently, there is no actual way to delete an entire account other than to send a request to Digital Bytes, LLC. to do so, and this can only be done if the player's account has a registered e-mail attached to it and the request comes from that e-mail, providing an account name and password for verification. Players who wish to reset their characters need only to utilize their option of deleting the character, and then re-creating the character from scratch, effectively starting the character over again.

How can I trade items with other players?


This is not possible in Realm Defender, as the game is single-player and does not link users together in the game. All accounts are self-reliant, and therefore players cannot trade any items, money, potions or spells with other players in the game.

How can I ensure the safety of my account?


Digital Bytes recommends that all players keep their account information safe and to themselves. Sharing account information such as usernames, passwords and the like are dangerous and might lead to someone using the information to sabotage the account. By keeping their username and password private and safe, players ensure their account's safety from anyone who might try to steal it from them.
